László Mustárdy (1945-2022)

G. GARAB
Biological Research Center, Institute of Plant Biology, Temesvári körút 62, H-6726 Szeged, Hungary

In photosynthesis research, in the early 1970s, one of the main problems was to understand the structure and functions of the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts of vascular plants. László Mustárdy, with his great skill and legendary patience, took care excellently of the tasks of electron microscopic ultrastructure.
